Rowell Photography: Amy & Dwights’ Taboo Resort wedding was a lovely intimate affair. Taboo Resort for weddings is one of our favorite places to shoot, especially because the sun sets over the water and can be seen from nearly every angle of the resort.
We got the chance to work with the amazing staff and coordinators at Taboo, and also had the chance to work with our very good friends Rachel & David Clingen from Rachel A Clingen Wedding & Event Design. Rachel created a beautiful mix of rustic and feminine details to really tie in both Amy and Dwights personalities, it made their wedding a very personal, and a memorable experience.
Rowell Photography: The ceremony took place at the Fireside Grill Patio at Taboo Resort, where guests were treated to stunning panoramic views of Lake Muskoka. After the ceremony guests retreated to the Boat House for the reception dinner and dancing. Even though the sky was overcast for most of the day, just before night fell the sun peaked through the clouds and lit up the sky in a brilliant orange, giving Amy and Dwights a truly romantic end to a perfect day in Muskoka!

Rachel A Clingen Wedding & Event Design: The flowers and decor for Amy and Dwights’ wedding were bright, cheerful and kissed with hints of this rustic region of Ontario. Birch accents were subtle. A birch wrap on Amy’s bouquet, birch candle holders and table number holders as well as birch logs in the ceremony vases created that natural Muskoka feel.
Coral, peach, pink and cream tones were used together for the perfect pretty wedding palette. Our friends at Rowell Photography captured the beauty of this wonderful colour combination with precision. We are always amazed at their ability to capture the trueness of colours. Overlooking the waters of Lake Muskoka, The Boathouse at Taboo welcomed the couples’ guests for a fabulous evening of festivities and gourmet food.
